![]() ![]() Neferpitou then looks at the two boys with sharp glaring eyes, thus directing her aura towards them. The impact is visualized by a grainy black and white, with the exception of Kite’s contrastingly red blood. ![]() In a matter of milliseconds Kite’s right arm is severed, to which Gon and Killua react with shock. This is accompanied by an ominously crescendoing orchestra from the score, which turns completely silent at the immediate point of impact. Standing outside the nest miles away from them, she tenses her thigh muscles and jumps with the speed and accuracy of a sniper bullet straight toward Kite. We get a shot of Neferpitou’s eye as it glaringly overwhelms Kite in the frame, signaling that her nen has gotten aim on him. When Gon and Killua ask him what’s wrong, he instantly tells them to run away. The second Neferpitou’s immensely strong aura hits Kite he is filled with cold sweat, daunted by the unbelievable power before him. In their exploration of the forest of NGL, Gon, Killua and Kite have arrived at the chimera ants’ nest. If you aren’t one to read manga, i recommend watching the beginning of the 1999 anime (SEEING THAT 2011 IS ENDING…HA….CRIES) because it shows their relationship wonderfully (with frills but of course all the better).Their initial encounter is as brief as it is impactful. when gon finally gets to fight alongside kite, someone he has looked up to since childhood, and ends up being at fault (at least in his mind) for kite’s death, you can see how seriously that would fuck him up. in the manga, kite was someone gon admired. i could go on and on, but i think you get the point. This all builds up to *SPOILER WARNING CHIMERA ANT ARC* kite’s death, and ultimately gon’s transformation into a monster. in the anime, they see each other and have no idea who each other are. ![]() ![]() in the manga, they see each other again and are excited. I don’t know what it’s like from the viewpoint of someone who watched the 2011 anime first but as someone who read the manga first, the way the 2011 anime lays out kite and gon’s relationship seems very detached to me in the anime kite is just the guy who gon barely recalls saving him a while back, whereas in the manga kite is the first hunter gon ever ran into, the first person who truly inspired him to set out and become a hunter. “if you originally read the manga first chimera ant arc means SO much more because kite is the person who inspired gon to become a hunter, the very person he looked up to to become (somewhat of a father figure) also when togashi was writing he left the manga on a HUGE hiatus after greed island and kite showing up so it was a HUGE thing at the time, whereas in hxh 2011 kite isn’t introduced until chimera ant arc and is someone gon barely remembers (when gon first sees him in the anime he has no idea who he is until 10 minutes later when the flashbacks start to play), so his mindless devotion to avenging kite isn’t as emotionally powerful…that’s my two cents anyway LOL….and where do i even start with killua…SOMEONE GIVE THIS KID A BREAK ”Ĭh 185 both gon and kite recognize each other right away upon gon’s arrivalĮpisode 76 kite is introduced for the first time, and gon doesn’t even recognize him at first, in fact the first thing he says is “That isn’t Ging”ĥ minutes later gon realizes and has to ask kite if it was him from a long time ago. This has been mentioned over and over again but i was talking to my friend aiden, and i sort of ended up sending them some feelings oh man (i should be writing about college essays not hxh feels smh) basically what i wrote ![]()
